Full Description: This is a lovely Spanish-owned Alpujarran cortijo/country house, set in a beautiful location in the heart of the outstanding scenery described in the popular book “Driving Over Lemons”. It has stunning views down the valley below Orgiva and to the Sierra Nevada Mountains detailed in the book. The house itself has been recently renovated to a high standard, but still maintains its traditional feel with beamed ceilings and fireplace. The house is very peaceful and private, with its own parking. There is a delightful swimming pool, as well as BBQ and sun-loungers, ensuring the outside space is perfect for relaxing. The land around the house measures 8,000-9,000 sq.m. The countryside location that this house has, as well as being set in the foothills of the stunning Sierra Nevada Mountains, provides many opportunities for walking, bird-watching, etc. The town of Orgiva, often described in “Driving Over Lemons”, is only 20mins drive away and offers all facilities such as shops, banks, cafes etc.

The house is totally enclosed with private gardens and a large swimming pool. There is also a BBQ and sun-loungers. The garden is safe for children, and there are lovely views of the surrounding mountains.
DISTANCES
The cortijo is only 20mins drive from the town of Orgiva, and is an easy 2 hour drive from Malaga Airport, and just over 1 hour drive from Granada Airport. The city of Granada is only 50mins away, and the coast is 40mins.
This lovely house is owned by a local Spanish family and I, Malcolm de Ste Croix, with my colleague Inma Hidalgo manage this property for them. On your arrival in Orgiva you will be met by one of us and taken to the house. We will also give you any local information you require to help you enjoy your holiday. We look forward to meeting you.

Changeover Day: Changeover days are any day of the week, this helps you to find cheaper flights except from 2nd July to 3rd of Sept, when changeovers must be from Saturday to Saturday.
Clients arriving can access the cortijo at 2.00pm, clients leaving must vacate by 10.00am.
